Crisis & Immediate Support
Your safety is the priority. This page provides resources for immediate help and tools for managing overwhelming moments.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger of harm, please use these 24/7 resources now. Calmshell is not an emergency service.

Hope for Wellness Help Line
Immediate, culturally competent support for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people across Canada.
Proactively create a personalized crisis prevention plan. Designate emergency contacts and set your preferences for alerts.
For non-emergency situations where you need local assistance, use our resource finder to locate nearby shelters, mental health clinics, food banks, and more.
You Submit a Check-in
You complete your daily wellness check-in, providing information on your mood, sleep, and an optional journal entry.
Automated Risk Analysis
Our system applies fixed scoring and keyword rules that may flag a check-in for additional attention. It can miss concerns or flag content incorrectly.
Possible Clinician Alert
An alert is created only when you have opted into clinical monitoring, an active care plan exists, and the rule-based score reaches the configured threshold. Do not rely on an alert for urgent help.
Important Service Limitation & Disclaimer
This automated monitoring system is not a 24/7 emergency service. An alert or clinician review is never guaranteed, and the system can have false positives or negatives. For any immediate crisis, use the emergency resources at the top of this page.
By using this service, you acknowledge and consent to this monitoring process. For more details, see our Terms of Use or configure your Crisis Prevention Settings.
